Album Notes

This is Inner Ear Brigade's (IEB) debut four song EP, released in the summer of 2005. IEB Influences range from Magma, Sunra, Frank Zappa, Prog-rock, cheesy 70's fusion ramps, space ships, and other paranormal phenomenon. The songs are one part rock and one part jazz, but not quite the virtuosic masturbation of fusion. Twisting odd meters and harmonies drive the songs towards and original sound. This album features some of the San Francisco Bay Area's finest musicians. The vintage sounds of Hammond B3 organ, Fender Rhodes, Moog synth, drums, bass and guitar support the musical tapestry rooted in a solid groove.

Inner Ear Brigade formed in the summer of 2004. It was originally a four-piece group of bass, drums, guitar, and keyboards, and later expanded to include organ and saxophone. IEB is the brain child of composer and guitarist, maestro Bill Wolter. With the help of Producer John Bennett, basic tracks were recorded during two hot weeks of early June 2004.

Members of Inner Ear Brigade have played with Stevie Wonder, Fred Frith, San Francisco Mime Troupe, The People band, Mitch Marcus, Slydini, Moe!kestra, and several other musical acts. Through this recording they will "Rock you to Russia", driving you along on a tasty musical journey.
