ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
John Innes was born in England and came to the United States in 1958 to study music at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Music degree at Wheaton College in 1963, and his Master of Music at Northwestern University in 1965, with a major in organ. From 1965 to the present he has been the staff musician for the Billy Graham Association, serving as both pianist and organist in Mr. Graham‘s Crusades worldwide. He has also been the arranger and orchestrator for many of the choral and instrumental pieces used in the Crusade meetings and in church settings in the U.S. and Canada. Married in 1963 to Janet, they have four children and six grandchildren. They make their home in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

NOT ENOUGH RECOGNITION
I am sure John Innes would be the very first to defer all the praise, honor and glory to Jesus, but the Bible instructs us to "give honor to whom honor is due." He -- along with Tedd Smith & Don Hustad -- made the musical portions of Billy Graham Crusades so unique with their excellent keyboard talents. I still enjoy John's talents each week on "Songs in the Night" from Moody Church. I just ordered MY FAVORITE HYMNS by John because, quite frankly, I cannot get enough of his music. I am SO GLAD this talent is being used for the Kingdom of God instead of for the world. THANKS, JOHN, FOR ALL THE BLESSINGS!!

One of the Finest
This is certainly one of the finest albums of Christian music that I own. I was a classmate of John Innes at Wheaton College - and even in those days people would wait in chapel just to listen to his playing. I'm sure that he could have chosen a secular career and made a lot of music but as a result of his commitment to Jesus Christ millions have profited from his ministry. I praise God for it.

My Favorite Hymns
As a church organist/pianist, I have been a big fan of Mr. Innes for many years. I am so thankful to have found this CD and hope Mr. Innes will consider recording another CD in the near future. How wonderful to actually hear Mr. Innes play arrangements I am familiar with! God Bless you, Mr. Innes, and thank you for this magnificant gift.

Worship Piano
For worship hymns on the grand piano this is most excellent. If you've ever noticed the piano on the Billy Graham crusades John Innes is the keyboard artist right here.

My Favorite Hymns
This is a collection of great hymns played by a great pianist with sensitivity to the words and the music. John is a wonderful player and has added much to the Billy Graham crusades by his excellent and musical playing.

Absolutely Magnificent!
This is one of the most beautiful CD's in my collection - it is absolutely magnificent! I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone who loves piano hymn playing.

A thank you and a request
My wife and I are missionaries to Bolivia, South America. Because of email is so slow we will have to wait until we go to the States in May to down load John's music. Just say that we have listened to Songs In The Night from Moody Church for many years and have enjoyed John's playing greatly. In fact on one occasion I somehow erased a favorite of mine and somehow I got in contact with John who recorded it for me and sent it to me on cassette but I was never able to get back with him to thank him. If my message could be passed on to him I would greatly appreciate it.
One request John: would record on the pipe organ a number of traditional hymns so that we can buy that too? Thank you. Dave and Ruth Sommer
