ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Rock is Dead & Life is Good is a tribute album of sorts, created in the wake of my mom being diagnosed with brain cancer in Oct 2011. These songs don't begin to cover all my family has gone through, but my hope is that they bring comfort to others who may be dealing with similar issues. The album has been therapeutic for me, and I would be honored if other people found something they could hold onto here. "Life is Good," the first track on the album, is a testament to Mom's courage and honesty throughout her ordeal. "Rock is Dead" is the anti-single, a punky anthem that rails against the empty religious jargon and attitudes about God and death. This album is my most spiritual to date because every track is me dealing with how a good God can allow terrible things to happen all around Him. For that reason, I consider it a gospel album.

All profits from the sale of this album will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, so by purchasing these songs you are getting a lot more than a little entertainment. I want this album, from creation to consumption, to be as selfless as possible, much like the person who inspired it.
