The Invincible Kids - EP

by The Invincible Kids

Electrorock The Invincible Kids create a symphonic wall mysteriously huge for a three-man band. With live vocals/keys, guitar, and drums supported by sequenced bass and lead synthesizers, TIK is a unique and intense sonic experience.

Album Notes
The Big Bang is this theory that everything in the Universe exploded from a point. The New Testament is this story where God knocks up a virgin (Mary) and when their kid gets nailed to a cross everyone's sins are somehow forgiven. The Invincible Kids are three lads realizing their minds are made of the Universe, powered by stars, and that life sucks when people are cruel and corrupt. But with the right girl by your side - we can live forever.

They have a microphone (Drew), a Fender Jazzmaster (Stos), a drum kit (Adam), and an iPod full of electronic compositions produced by the band in the wee hours of the night, on laptop computers.

Drew has been: a pianist, a jazz trumpeter, a tap dancer, a music theater nerd, a metal drummer, a poet named Exacto the Phoenix Commando, an electronic performer, a straight-edge emo, a Photoshop genius, a stoned barista in Berkeley, a flash web designer, a screenwriter, a tragic hero with a heart of gold and a fist of fury. Lately he’s been playing the cowbell, the tambourine, a Roland synthesizer, and finding out about thermate. He met Stos for the first time at a BART train station in San Francisco when auditioning for his former band, Gentlemen to Evil.

Stos has been: a guitarist, a singer, a music teacher, a visual artist, a model Gemini, a comic book nerd, a teenage SoCal math-punk, a Nintendo fanboy, an L.A. transplant to the tundra, a MIDI/synth junkie, a hopeless romantic powered by weed, a Spartan-hearted Greek warrior on a quest for greatness, a Peter Griffin impersonator, a heartbreaker, ripping mad solos out of the loudest Fender Super Twin amp ever created. Lately he’s been rebuilding his titanium-plated wrist, splattering ink designs on paper and painting digital files. He met Adam when he moved to Minnesota from SoCal to start a band with Drew.

Adam has been: drumming since childhood, watching his dad (Marty) play big band swing and jazz on drums, watching old VHS tapes of Buddy Rich, a track star, a snowboarder, a wake boarder, a McNally Smith grad, a party animal. He can fix sustain pedal wiring on the fly with duct tape and is skilled with the soldering iron and the iPod rock-stop. He's a fucking Bond driver behind the wheel. Lately he’s been getting his headphones stolen, getting shit-canned on boats, laughing when some drunk girl crashed into the trailer hitch of the band’s Suburban after a show in northeast Minneapolis [Fender damage, no one was injured, btw]. He met Drew through producer Jonathan Moehnke of Airborne Creative Studios where Adam is a studio drummer.

The Invincible Kids - Stos, Drew, Adam: good-hearted bad boys who melt Electro & Rock into a sound Daring & Sexual.
