ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is how Charlie Parker might have played had he not left us so soon!

This music is transcending, the type of creative evolution that can only be produced by decades of listening, discipline and practice.

No one is playing like this anywhere, hopefully it brings jazz to it's next great Metamorphosis.

It is a homage to every great composer and musician that has come before and so beautiful!

Magic
Just when you thought there was nothing new in Jazz along comes Ira Jackson with his lovely BEBACH! Ira isn't the first jazz musician to combine European and American classical music, Nina Simon did it often, but he may be the first to particularize that mix by concentrating solely on Bach. BEBACH may spawn a whole new genre of jazz. It's the kind of jazz music makes you smile first thing in the morning, last thing at night. Buy this album and don't be selfish - give it to your friends as a good luck omen for the New Year. You won't be sorry!

Simply Beautiful! Beyond possible expectations! Pure Magic! Completely Origin
Ira Jackson is a master musician...holds par with the best known and superior to many of the highly rated and yet unknown except to a cult few. To put forth something new in music is genius. People still write about Ira Jackson days of playing at The Angry Squire...and then he virtually disappeared from the music scene. He's a secret find...lost and waiting to be found like the Cuban musicians on The Buenao Vista Social Club until Ridley Scott produced the documentary. You can find Ira Jackson by buying this CD. Thank you John Bliss for co-producing this. This CD is a life's work...it is simply beautiful! While it's hard to pick which cut I love more than the others...I have to say Besame Mucho is beyond outstanding and my favorite . Not to say I don't really love Tomorrow! And Moondance.. must be listened to complete...not just the little sample. You will not be disappointed for one second in purchasing this CD. It's a marvel!

Finally something fresh to listen to
This CD hits on what I love about music, a fresh and imagantive persepctive. This CD samples classics mixed with modern jazz to create a new sound. Miles Davis would be proud of the inventive way Mr Jackson plays Autumn Leaves, and Annie always brings a smile to my face. I highly recommend downloading a copy of Bebach, sit back on a cold winter night with a glass of wine and enjoy.

fresh!
A witty and fresh "mash-up" of American Songbook standards, the be-bop sensibility and harpsichord riffs, culminating in a final, inspired communication between Mr. Jackson and Bach.

Fresh, original and beautiful
Ira Jackson's warm, delicate saxophone playing recalls Lester Young and Stan Getz and the jazz greats from the 40s and 50s. Here he combines his exquisite horn with baroque arrangements to produce something truly unique, an album of standards and one original as you've never heard them: a bit jazzy, a bit classical, always wonderful. Highest recommendation!

AT LAST
Tenor Saxophonist Ira Jackson is one of New York City's best kept secrets, a talent deserving of more and further recognition. I've seen Jackson perform in New York venues and his playing has always been of the highest caliber. This CD, "BeBach Evolution" is over due. It will provide music listeners the opportunity to hear, appreciate and enjoy this wonderful musician and his unique concept CD "BeBach Evolution." A must for listening lists.
