ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ishmael the Peacemaker is a seasoned drummer, songwriter, singer. He started out on the tiny island of Barbados learning to play on tin cans which he had nailed on to a coconut tree in his backyard. He would sit there for hours at times trying to follow the beat to every piece of music on his little transistor radio back then.
In High School, he formed a little band which turned out pretty good on the island when they hooked up with a couple of more mature and established singers and made two single that both became hits on the island and spread to Jamaica and some of the other Caribbean islands.
Soon after High School, Ishmael left the island to relocate to Baltimore following opportunity. This led to a stint in the USAF and several other jobs, business and musical ventures. He started BlackSheep reggae band in Philadelphia back in '82 and joined up with The Killer Bees from Austin, Texas in '86, and has toured with many other reggae artists.
Currently playing drums for Vegitation, a hot, up and coming San Diego band with a strong environmentally conscious reggae, rock, jam band sound.
This is Ishmael's fourth CD with his all original songs, it is fun, contemplative, relaxing, stimulating, thoughtful and well produced piece of work.
