Album Notes
An offspring of Southern California's multi-cultural diversity, hip hop vocalist and visual artist, ITHAKA (aka Darin Pappas) was spawned on a wide spectrum of suburban and urban influences both personally and artistically. As a teenager, Los Angles provided him constant contact with people from different countries and wide range of economic classes who often had little or nothing in common. This motivated Ithaka to bridge the gaps.
He found he related to people from all over
from multitudes of social realities, often making friends with foreigners and scouring their brains for information about the outside. This eventually inspired his own life-long ambition of travel and adventure. Becoming the fundamental fuel for his five ground-breaking hip hop albums, numerous photography and sculpture exhibits and short stories. He is now living in Rio de Janeiro where a documentary about the life of the artist, directed by SUSANNA LIRA (,won the BEST SCRIPT award at the2006 Brazilian FATU film festival. He has also been calloborating on upcoming projects with producers
Matt Coldrick (Pan Electric-UK) and David Kellogg from Minneapolis. For Ithaka's Lyrics see: ith-lyricsFor Ithaka's sculpture work see:
