Album Notes
James Adelsberger is an all-around musician from Virginia. Country music is only one of James’s many interests in the music field. James plays all of the instruments on this album except fiddle, is an active concert percussionist and jazz drummer with his high school’s band program, and composes.

Genuine Country Music
“…I really like James’ voice. He's a young country singer, not fully mature in his voice yet, but the indications are already blinking loud and clear... HEY THIS BOY CAN SING! Given a little time, and guidance I can see James Adelsberger doing some terrific country music… Outstanding is Michael Romans on fiddle which really sets this entire CD in a real 'country' atmosphere… I'll be forwarding this CD to the Rural Roots Music Commission, and let them have a good listen…”

Keeping the Traditional Sound Alive
There are people who love to play music, and there are people who have to play music. James Adelsberger is the latter. So I’m very proud to debut him as a Roughshod Records’ recording artist.
I met this young man during the spring of 2012 when he began showing up at one of the local Saturday night jams. His musical versatility immediately struck a chord with everyone, and a couple of months later, on a whim I asked him if he’d be interested in creating some tracks for a couple of my songs. That was one of the best whims I’ve had in a long time, and this CD was his bonus for the marvelous tracks that he did for my CD Single “Livin’ Lost Love on the Jukebox Again” and “The Heartaches Are Callin’” a talent amply reflected on this CD for which he played all the instruments, except the fiddle, played by his friend Michael Romans, though James arranged the score.
New to singing, James crammed a lot of effort into his vocals in a short period of time under some very extenuating circumstances. He’s very resolute about what he wants and as he continues to grow vocally I’m sure he’ll become a fine singer and we’re both looking forward to producing more releases in the near future.
