ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Roots of Song", the lead off song and title track, expresses fully the concept of this recording project. It speaks to our established mantra where "varied folk, roots, country and traditional rock textures are blended to create songs that are new yet familiar". The more things change the more they stay the same. I extend my full appreciation and respect to the session players (members of prominent bands past and present: Bryan Adams, Idle Eyes, Colin James, Long John Baldry, and others) involved in this project for their respective brush strokes of musical genius upon the canvas of a nascent song. It has been a joyful pursuit to work with their masterful tracks in bringing each song to life. James Avery
