Album Notes
Jamie O'Reilly "Swimming Deeper, recorded in Chicago in 2000, features Jamie's intimate side. Her warm, soulful voice is heard on twelve, mostly original songs, co-produced with singer/songwriter Michael Smith, www.michaelsmithmusic.com, who accompanies her on several guitars and bass. Songs include:"Annie Laurie", "The Riddle Song", Smith's "Waving to Picasso", and "Queen of the Four Fires", and songs they co-wrote "The Flowering Henna", "Hombre del mundo", and "Solamente" (a heartwrenching ballad).

O'Reilly and Smith have created four cds together including "Pasiones," a CD sold worldwide, and many pieces of theater. They are at work on a fifth -- "Song of A Kerry Madwoman," a Song Cycle of new Celtic-style art songs by Patricia Monaghan (lyrics), and Michael Smith's music for soprano and string ensemble, due to be released in winter of 2005. Jamie's latest musical venture is the Jamie O'Reilly Trio with cellist Bob Weber and Michael Smith on guitar.
