ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jane Cobb, MLS, is a children’s librarian and author of the “storytime bible,” I’m a Little Teapot! Presenting Preschool Storytime, and What'll I Do With The Baby-o? Nursery Rhymes, Songs, and Stories for Babies, “a ‘must-have’ for those embarking upon ‘Baby and Me’ or ‘Mother Goose’-type programs” (SLJ).

This is Jane’s first audio CD and was first produced in 2007 to include in her book of the same title. It is presented here in 2012 as a separate stand-alone product. KIRKUS Reviews calls it: “A lovingly packaged collection of songs worth singing.”

Songs and Rhymes for Little Ones grows from Jane’s popular Mother Goose outreach programs for families with young children living on the east side of Vancouver, BC, and from her many years teaching her Power of Rhyme and Parent-Child Mother Goose™ training workshops around the country. Most songs are sung a cappella, some with light accompaniment. The intention is to teach parents and caregivers delightful tunes that they can enjoy listening to and then learn to sing to their own children.
