Incorporating dance, video, and sound, this DVD-R is a set of 7 interrelated video-dances that can be viewed separately or as a continuous piece. Facade redirects perspective, scale, and proximity to frame and draw attention to our increasingly mediated experience of a constantly evolving urban environment. With the slow shifts and redevelopment of sites, lots, and neighborhoods over time, we are often unable to remember or identify what stood in these places before. This DVD-R is an adaptation of and second section to a live version of Facade, which took audiences on an alternate tour through the upper floors of The Warehouse, the Washington, DC art space, in autumn 2006.
