ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The core of the band is made up of Janek on bass, Peter Erskine on drums, and Alan Pasqua on piano who perform on all tracks. They are joined by a diverse group of incredible musicians young and old, from Mike Stern and Randy Brecker to Nir Felder, Lizzy Loeb, and Bob Franceschini, as well as lead guitarist of Mexican mega stars Mana - Sergio Vallin.

Recorded over two different recording dates, one in Los Angeles and one in New York, this album came to life over a period of around three months, and despite having been recorded in pieces still manages to have the sound of a cohesive band unit. A big compositional departure from Janek's last album as a leader, this record focuses on writing specifically for the personnel hired to play the music. It combines new friendships and musical collaborations with relationships already a decade in the history books, and the dedication and respect for the music from each musician shines out in every note.
