ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
North + South features arrangements by Benjamin Britten, Luciano Berio, and Australian composers Andrew Ford, Martin Wesley-Smith, and Ann Carr-Boyd. The tracklist includes the classic Irish tune She Moved Through the Fair, as well as Tommy Tanna, a sensuous song sung by a white woman to her Aboriginal lover, published anonymously as a poem in 1895, and a new take on The Go-Betweens’ 1983 hit Cattle and Cane.
