Album Notes
Did you know Santa Claus had a son and that Santa Claus once caught a cold the night of Christmas Eve? Meet and enjoy Willy Claus, the mischievous little son as he takes off in Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve.

Jaye is a talented singer, songwriter, cartoonist and elementary school teacher from Canada with her debut album Jota released in 2011. She is presently working on a Christmas album and has released two singles from this upcoming Christmas album ('Willy Claus, Little Son of Santa Claus' and 'Mi Burrito Sabanero'). Jaye's recording of 'Willy Claus, Little Son of Santa Claus' is upbeat and fun with her modified lyrics, rhythm and tempo adapted from the original to suit her style. Willy Claus is a great song written by one of America's finest songwriters, Mel Leven (1914 - 2007) who wrote many songs for Walt Disney including Cruella de Vil from One Hundred and One Dalmatians. Willy Claus was first recorded by Molly Bee (1939 - 2009) in 1952 on Capital Records. Interesting that back then, the B side of the old record (I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus) was the song that was played and became famous. Almost everyone forgot about the A side, Willy Claus. Jaye learned the song from her principal, Carol Dauphinee at Wildwood School in Calgary where she taught grade 2. She immediately liked the song and dreamed of someday recording it and was able to realize this in 2011. Jaye is presently working on illustrations with an artist colleague to publish the song as a children's book sold with her recording and later as a novel for elementary school students. Jaye D Marie's version of Willy Claus, Little Son of Santa Claus was recorded and produced by Jeff Muller of Alchemy Studios in Calgary, Alberta.
