Album Notes
Let's ride a donkey to Bethlehem; a journey with Jaye D Marie in 'Mi Burrito Sabanero' a song that's catchy, fun and lively.

Jaye D Marie is a talented Canadian singer, songwriter, cartoonist and elementary school teacher with her debut country album, 'Jota' released in 2011. Presently working on a Christmas album, Jaye has released this Christmas season of 2012, two singles from her upcoming album ('Willy Claus, Little Son of Santa Claus' and 'Mi Burrito Sabanero') The single, 'Mi Burrito Sabanero - The Donkey of Bethlehem' is a popular Latin American Christmas song written by Hugo Blanco. Jaye D Marie's version brings a Canadian style to the song as she sings the second half in English which follows the Spanish. 'Mi Burrito Sabanero' is also known as 'El Burrito Sabanero', 'Mi Burrito de Belen' or 'El Burrito de Belen'. It's a song loved by the teachers, students and parents at Westgate Elementary School in Calgary, Alberta where it's been a regular carol sung every Christmas at caroling assemblies. Though the correct translation after the title may be more accurately translated as 'my grasslands donkey' Jaye and her students like referring to the donkey as 'The Donkey of Bethlehem'. A wonderful song by a great composer that Jaye is thrilled to share. Recorded and produced at Alchemy Studios in Calgary, Alberta by Jeff Muller.
