ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
For the fans of classic sketch comedy and those who wish they were, we present the Lo Fi Comedy Album. A weirdly comic compendium of humorous sketches and monologues performed by a dozen of NYC's finest comic actors. Written and directed by The Reverend Jay Goldstein, the material pays homage to the creators of classic comedy albums such as Monty Python, The Firesign Theater and the National Lampoon Radio Hour,

Along with the fun quirky comedy is an equally fun and quirky soundtrack featuring the musical talents of Mr. Musik Pantz who is (by most accounts) both fun and quirky. His mix of electronica and electric guitar accent many of the tracks and enhance the many peculiar moods found on the album.

So check out this debut album by one of NYC's most loveable underground comics, The Reverend Jay Goldstein and his Lo Fi Comedy Album.

Stay groovy.

Rub it on your face!
Comedy bubbles from the actual CD! Just kidding, really you have to play it on your CD player - which I did every day the first week I got it. Funny, quirky comedy from the NYC underground, you never know what to expect. If you like "The Far Side" by Gary larson then you will probably like this. This kind of stuff touches my funny bone, squeezes it even and I think it will yours.
Play it, memorize it, repeat to friends and laugh!

Finally! Comedy that doesn't forget to be funny.
Sick of comedy that isn't actually funny? "Jokes" that leave you thinking "that isn't funny, you just want me to see how clever or 'politically incorrect' you are". Well, this CD contains actual comedy and jokes, not "Joke Like Substance". It's comedy the way they used to make it, funny. Get this CD and be prepared to laugh your ass off.

Creative, clever, silly, and an all around good time.
Ever feel like you're taking life way too seriously? Well, Reverend Jay's LoFI Comedy Album is the perfect antidote. It is 38(plus) minutes of totally feel-good silliness. The CD boasts an energetic and talented cast whom are all very obviously having more fun than should be legally allowed.
Pre-school judgementalism and hypocracy, shameless self-degredation, oozing political sarcasm, parental badgering that has caused you a lifetime of psycho-therapy and medication? It's all here. I loved it.

Wow. Great comedy and good music too!
Hey folks. This is some funny stuff. I've seen the Rev. do sketch in NYC and this CD encapsulates much of his sillyness in take home form perfectly. Can't wait for more. The background music is pretty stellar as well. If you like laughing. Get this disc!!!!!

This is classic comedy!
Let's face it - comedy in the last quarter century has been plagued by observation humor. We all recognize it; we've heard it ad infinitum. Flying in the face of this convention, the good Reverend has constructed a fundamentally sound, unpretentious, and irreverently silly album, and the best thing about it is that, despite the Seventies-inspired soundtrack, it's ageless. There are very few references, which date these sketches to any one time. You can enjoy it now, a year from now, or fifty years from now. I recommend now.
