Chris Burton Jácome began playing guitar in 1986. While living in Sevilla, Spain, Chris studied flamenco guitar with some of the greatest flamenco performers of this era. Since Chris’ return from Spain, he has been performing over 200 shows a year and has played many sold-out performances throughout the US and Canada.

Chris’ music can be heard scoring the Emmy Award Winning PBS television special: “Flamenco” (broadcast in Arizona by KAET-TV Channel 8: Mike Sauceda, producer), on the popular TV shows “Kyle xy” and “Greek” and Chris’ flamenco version of the Christmas Classic, “Joy to the World”, was included in Coldwater Creek Catalogue’s 2004 Christmas CD. Chris will also soon be heard as the featured soloist in the movie soundtrack of “9/tenths”.

Chris’ music has received critical acclaim from the beginning of his career. From Chris’ debut CD, Motivación, the title track “Motivación” finished in the Top 10 in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest World Music Category. Out of 25,000 entries! Chris’ second album, “Pa’lante”, was just as well received: “Highly recommended for fans of flamenco, nuevo flamenco, world music, or well-executed and recorded guitar music in general” –(Guitar Nine Records) Chris’ 4th album entitled, “Flamenco” is an exciting new work eliciting reviews like “Jácome’s gorgeous, evocative compositions are a testament to his abilities as a writer and performer…”-(Get Out! Magazine’s Chris Hansen) and “An extraordinary and fresh-sounding, passionate album...”-( June 2005).

Chris is currently the musical director for one the largest touring flamenco dance companies in the United States, Calo Flamenco, Ballet de Martín Gaxiola. Uplifting, exciting and beautiful!
Very different from Motivacion which I love. Flamenco is very uplifting and exciting and is a wonderful example of Chris's ever expanding talent. My favorite is Hey, Chico. Makes me want to see the dancers perform to the music.

Timothy Nugent

Awesome! It ROCKS, as usual!
Great flamenco style, in tradition with the live shows in which Chris has performed. My patients at the clinic enjoy it alot. So does one of my cardiologists, she wants to buy a copy!

Joanna Grassinger

Flamenco is so rich with talent, you can't stop listening
I sent Flamenco to my mom for Mother's Day because I loved it so much. My mom is crazy about it and every time she plays it even her dog goes crazy with excitement. The CD is so rich, warm and really fun to move to.

Karen Hoover

The same wonderful talent i found in Motivacion.......
I found Flamenco more contemplative and not as exciting musically as Motivacion but very rich and satisfying. I very much like his musical technique in both albums

Annis Scott

Chris is very talented. His flamenco songs soung authentically Spanish. This is a CD I never get tired of. He is a great perfomer live too.

Excellent and inspiring music
Chris' talent is amazing, and the music is truly able to transport you. When you close your eyes and listen, you could be anywhere...but defintely somewhere warmer and more fun than Ohio, which is where I am. Yay, Chris!
