BRIEF JED MARUM BIO
Jed Marum\'s list of albums on Boston Road Records play regularly on Folk Bluegrass and Celtic radio programs around the world. They are distributed widely on all the major MP3 services. Jed brings his music to festival, club and concert venues throughout the US with over 150 shows each year. His 2007 touring plans include festival and concert dates in Canada and Mexico.

Simply Stunning
What a pleasant break this is from the usual big production recordings we hear now-a-days! The performance is stunning, the recording is true and accurate but not in your face. And no edits, no overdubs?? Wow! Simply live. The song selection, arrangements and musicianship are superb! This is one to hear over and over. It is my new, very best CD and certainly one of the best all-time.

Mainly Scots
I stumbled on Jed's work while listening to an iPodcast, following the links to CD Baby and am REAL pleased. My wife's heritage is Scottish and mine is Irish. We spent many, many hours hanging out at Ryan's in New Orleans (when it was there). Jed's voice and incredible guitar work take us both back to those good old days of too many black and tans and the wonderful camraderie. Thanks!

Marum does it again!
Love Marum's new CD! Jed has a wonderfully clear expressive voice -- so relaxing to listen to as I commute 1 1/2 hours to work each day. Great selection of Scottish tunes.

Mainly Scots / Jed Marum
I learned about Jed Marum through Marc Gunn's podcasts. To these 70-year-old ears, which have listened to folk music from the Almanac Singers and the Weavers, up to the current artists, Jed Marum is perhaps the finest singer/guitarist of them all. This CD, plus the Irish companion CD, are wonderful showcases for Jed. If solo traditional or Celtic folk artists are your style, you simply cannot pass on Jed. He is superb. His albums are perfect folk "listening" through all tracks. You don't need to skip any!!

One of my favorite CD's EVER!
I bought this CD for myself after seeing a live performance by the artist. I liked it so much that I ordered an addtional copy for a friend in Canada. Simply one of the most "listenable" CD's I've heard in a long time. I highly recommend it.

I love this CD!
I first saw Jed playing with Alasdair Fraser and Brian McNeill at the Texas Scottish Festival. They raised the roof off the tent! What a fine player he is and a great singer too. Mainly Scots has all the energy, drive and even the intimacy of Jed's live performance. I love this CD!

Simple, well done folk music
Simple but well done versions of some Scots classics. I particularly enjoyed Jed's pleasant voice and the quality guitar work. A good folk song doen't need massive orchestration. At first I missed the usual art work and liner notes, but these songs are so timeless, none are really needed.

some of the finest pickin I've ever heard
Well I didn't think it could be done but Jed sure has out done himself on this one!! some of the finest guitar pickin I've ever heard. Thanks again Jed!!
