ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jeff is an American singer songwriter sharing residencies between Oregon, USA and Sydney, Australia. He was raised in East Africa which exposed him to eclectic music from an early age. As a teenager, Jeff incorporated such styles as African pop, rock, jazz, blues, funk, ska, and reggae into his music. This diversity soon landed him several first place awards in Songwriters Showcases.
Jeff has gigged with a myriad of famous performers such as Michael Franti with Spearhead and Kelly Joe Phelps. He is well known in the American music community and has participated in a wide range of events, including playing for Courtney Cox (“Friends”) wedding, auditioning for Limp Bizkit, and making it to the finals (out of 4,000 guitarists) for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In Australia, Jeff has sold out The Sydney Opera House, shared the same stages with Ernest Ranglin and The Wailers, received radio play, toured throughout the country. He has also performed internationally in Papua New Guinea, Africa, and Mexico!
Along with performing, Jeff does a great deal of songwriting for international films and videos. He wrote and recorded the soundtrack for a New York film based on the tragedy at the World Trade Center. He has produced music for a multitude of videos and documentaries whose clients have included the United Nations, U.S. Agency for International Development, and the Red Cross in East Africa. He has also composed and recorded for television shows and commercials out of Los Angeles. Jeff’s ability to adapt to any style of music makes him highly employable as a session musician and, as a result, his name appears on countless albums and projects around the world.
Jeff’s diverse singer-songwriter abilities are evident throughout all five of his original full-length albums. His sense of humor, ability to improvise and create lyrics on a whim, and spiritual vibe continue to inspire audiences all over the world. In 2013 he had shows in Australia and America to promote his recent release, “Doorways’ which has been receiving radio play and is a hip representation of his talented songwriting. Jeff gives the glory, honor, and credit to God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit for his music.

What the fans are saying…

"Jeff Stanley navigates a guitar neck with uncommon fearlessness. He has the ability to play outside of his comfort zone without letting on to his audience that he is in uncharted territory. He can follow his own improvisations up a blind alley and then escape without damage. He regularly strays from those portions of the guitar neck that he knows best and trusts his instincts and musical ear to guide him through the wilderness.
Stanley's solo, acoustic work is as exciting to watch as the electrified music he plays with his full band. He has a great penchant for abandoning chords to play acrobatic guitar solos that leave audiences breathless, waiting to hear how the solo will resolve itself back into the main body of the song.

Stanley is like a cat: He always lands on his feet."
-Medford Mail Tribune, March 2012

“He blurs the lines between rock, jazz, bluegrass, funk, and folk. He also blurs the lines between sane and insane, between black and white – in fact we hope you can keep up with his high energy show – he’ll blur the line between your eyes and your ears and your mind.”
-Newdawn Productions

“Jeff has the uncanny ability to intertwine touching sentiment with outrageous wit in a lightening fast delivery. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.”
-Jason Mannel (Producer)

“He’s the best guitarist I have ever heard.”
“Pure magic baby!”
“Quirky, wicked, engrossing!”
“You should be FAMOUS”
“Groovy facials!”
“Blinding!”
“Duuuude. Rock n’ Roll!!!”
“You truly are so talented.”
“Give me a minute to regroup!”

This man can play the guitar!!! For an acoustic journey of the soul try out 'Wilma and Grace' and the beautiful tune 'All of that'. For a groovin walk check out 'Live Jam in Sydney' and then turn it up with 'Where do we go' and 'Doorways'. We are luckily to have singer/songwriters like this and we should all be supporting them so go ahead and buy this album.
