Album Notes
Christian Boy, originally released as Dotted Line in the fall of '84, has been meticulously re-mastered at The Green Stairs in Oakland CA.

The song "Christian Boy" was remixed from the original 16 track by John Cuniberti, of Joe Satriani fame, at Hyde St. Studios in San Francisco.

The original radio version is
also on the CD, features Doug Van Blaricom on guitar, Valdimir Malinovsky on keyboards, Kevin Powell on drums and Jim Clausen on bass.

"Christian Boy" was in heavy rotation at KQAK in San Francisco in '84 and '85, placing in the top ten of the Quake's top 100 songs of '85.

"Back in '82 we were all just coming out of the angry punk thing, trying to figure out what to do next.

I had just finished a rather difficult break up with my band Mr. Clean due to some serious conflicts and betrayal. The song "Christian Boy" was written as a reaction to that betrayal. The feelings I had were so strong, the disappointment so great, the song just sort of wrote itself. I believe songs can be friends and "Christian Boy" was a good friend at a very difficult and cathartic time in my life.

It was the summer of '83 when we recorded "Christian Boy" and "Wedding Bells" at Isolation Studios in Concord CA.

Prior to the release of the EP Dotted Line, "Christian Boy" found its way onto the KQAK Rock to Riches compilation album. The station really started to go on that track giving me the support I needed to get my new project off the ground.

The recording of the remaining songs sort of slipped into limbo due to Isolation Studios' move to San Francisco. Not only did they have to move the old studio; they had to build the new one.

Tracking took place around and during construction, which caused the original release date to be pushed back to the fall of '84.

Those days were a very significant time in my life.
I hope this album brings back some of that good stuff for you."

The Memories Come Rolling Back :)
The CD was a good sampling of what Robert had put out in the 1980's. Christian Boy reminded me of the college partying life of the late 1980's to the early 1990's. I really only remember Christian Boy and not the other songs from the 1980's. Thanks for offering this song to the public via your website.

Brings back memories -- how fun!
I'm thrilled to have found this CD!! An addition to my 80's music library that I didn't expect to find!!

Awesome flashback...
Don't overlook the other tracks on this album... Christian Boy is a great song, but I actually like Tatum Bird and Dotted Line way better. The remix version of Christian Boy is marginally cleaner than the transferred version. Sound quality is pretty good overall.

My only complaint is the fade in of the vocal at the beginning of Dotted Line... I love Robert's voice coming out of the silence on the original.

Outstanding CD! Takes me back to a wonderful time in my life. Aaaa to be 17 again.

Probably one of the most influential songs in the college rotation in the mid 80
I do have this EP but didn't have the technology to transfer it from analog to digital, and due to the merge of computers and music, I rid myself of a turntable. Thought I'd never have this EP on CD. Thanks KSJS for playing C. Boy in the 80s; a gem of a song.

Love this rare CD!
I orig. taped C. Boy from the radio many years ago. Had a hard time finding it in stores. Recently stumbled upon R. Seidler's site and was thrilled to find this rare cd avail. Bought it at once, love every bit of it! Thanks Robert and CD Baby!

SO EXCELLENT! Best 80s album finally on CD!
This CD is an excellent quality product of the best album from the 1980s, "Dotted Line" (now renamed "Christian Boy"). I periodically search the 'net looking for this on CD, and finally found it at CD Baby. THANK YOU CD BABY for releasing this! The service from CD Baby was wonderful -- good price, fast delivery, and the world's most charming confirmation email. I can never thank you enough for putting the Dotted Line album out on CD. I AM IN HEAVEN!

Fantastic! Glad I found it!
Just want to echo what Kevin Matteson said. So many great memories...junior high at SLV, bus rides to mom's house, listening to KQAK...brought back a great time in my life.

Loved the rest of the album, but Christian Boy will always be One Of Those Songs.

Glad I found the album, and overjoyed I could buy it.

Robert Seidler Rocks My World!
The title track of this CD did INDEED inspire many, many, scooter rides through the cemetary. How incredibly cool to find these songs on CD after playing the LP (that's right, LP) so much we ruined it. All the songs are great, and also take me back to a more carefree time in my life. I love this CD!
