ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jenny Simms is a Country music artist from Yukon, OK. Jenny’s sound is a mix between Patsy Cline and Aretha Franklin, with a little Martina McBride on top. Her band is a mix of Old Time Country and Rock. Jenny has an incredible range and connection to her music.

In the fall of 2011 Jenny was a cook at a small grill on Dauphin Island, AL. She was singing in the kitchen one day when a customer in the dining room heard her voice and had to meet her. After talking for a while they came to a mutual decision to start a band and produce her second album “Small Town”. Jenny, being completely devoted to her career, decided to move her family to Yukon, OK the next month to pursue her music. Jenny’s influences were Patsy, Elvis, Garth, Reba, Willie, Keith Whitley, Martina McBride, and Patty Loveless. Her first album “Where I Begin” was released in November 2011 and she will be releasing “Small Town” on September 21, 2012. She released two singles in 2012, “A Reason to Come Home to You” and “Girl of a Gun”; they have been charted on the Texas Regional Radio Report. Jenny opened for her childhood idol, Loretta Lynn, on August 11, 2012 and is currently playing at venues around OK, TX, and KS.

“I've wanted one thing since I was five years old, to stand on the Grand Ole Opry Stage. I'm not going to stop until I know what it feels like to stand on the same spot that Patsy Cline stood on. I live for two things today, one to reach my goal and two to show my children, and everyone in this world, that dreams do come true if you want it bad enough . I'm going to chase this dream and I’m not going to stop.”~ Jenny Simms
