Album Notes
Encouraged by his students, family, friends, and colleagues, Joseph E. Reed, musician and educator from Colorado Springs, released Nineleven, his first CD, in 2002. The first song, "Sad September Sky" was written on September 11, 2001 moments after watching the news footage of the World Trade Center disaster in New York. Echoed in the song is the reassurance of peace that come only from God. "He's", "My Love For You", and "Sweet Child of Mine" describe the sweet love relationship that the LORD desires us to experience with Him. "Leave Me Alone" is an energetic Country song that follows a love story from youth to adulthood. "It Doesn't Matter" was inspired by Joseph's father and was composed for a multi-cultural show at his high school called "The Colors of Success". "Irregularity" expresses the frustration of struggling with sin in our lives and calls for God's forgiveness and cleansing. Finally, "Tiffy Dog" which was written on the spur of the moment one spring while Joseph was home on break from college. This song is a favorite for children and adults alike.
Nineleven explores devotion, diversity, desperation, delight, and finally ends with dog, and is just a small sample of the many creations Joseph E. Reed has composed over the years to touch the hearts of listeners everywhere.
