ABOUT THIS ALBUM


Album Notes
Jeremy VanSlyke enjoys performing a wide variety of piano and violin music including classical, jazz and celtic. A Fredericton native, he studied piano performance at McGill University with Marina Mdivani. Jeremy is a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music with an ARCT diploma in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Roger Lord. He is a former concertmaster of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra and has traveled with them to Italy and China. He has also performed as violin soloist with Symphony New Brunswick. Jeremy has earned RCM Silver Medal Awards in both piano and violin and has won numerous awards in local, provincial and national music festivals. He is a 2007 recipient of the TD Canada Trust Scholarship for outstanding community leadership and currently serves as co-director of Montreal’s “Heart of the City Piano Program” which offers piano lessons to inner-city school children; he also he directs the choir at Westmount Baptist Church. Jeremy is also active as a producer and recording engineer, having worked with artists at McGill University, the Banff Centre and the New Brunswick Summer Music Festival.
