Selling Fire in July

by Jesse Barish

Here we go again. These 12 musical pieces form a song cycle that tells the latest chapter in the ongoing saga called life as I know it. A mix of rock and pop with a taste of reggae, I think this is the tightest, most cohesive collection I have done.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
So here I sit in my apartment in Venice trying to figure out the magic words to say to get you to buy my CD. So who is Jesse Barish and why should you care. O.K. here goes. I was on Shelter Records in the early 70's played flute with John Phillips touring band, became friends with Marty Balin who produced two albums for RCA, had a top 10 hit with" Count On Me" recorded by Jefferson Starship, had a nervous breakdown but got myself back up in time for Marty to record "Hearts" in which the first line of the song posed the eternal question "is everything alright?', left the Bay Area and came to Venice Beach where the debris meets the sea where I am to this day releasing CD's the latest being this one "Selling Fire In July". Whew, now that that's done check out a few tunes and buy the dang thing so I can continue paying the rent, eating and creating more of these mutable sonic sculptures aka songs.
