Jhing is a true artist who is constantly seeking to learn and grow. She is a singer, songwriter, educator, producer, actress, web designer, model, vlogger, and the list is still growing. But of all the things she’s become, Jhing says that music will always be her first love. She came from a family of singers and musicians and was surrounded by music all her life. It is music that she comes home to and has paved the way for her to delve into other creative endeavors.
Jhing's diversity is represented in her music. It cannot simply be called pop as its essence crosses over genres to bring fresh new sounds that are derived from classic influences such as Jazz, Soul & R&B. This is evident in her CD, Sushi Money, a project produced by music veteran and Jhing's mentor, Bobby Nunn. From its humble roots, Sushi Money has gained a cult following in countries like Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, Amsterdam, United States, Australia, Philippines, and England.
As a songwriter, actress and singer, Jhing's work has been featured in Spider-man 3, Hangover 2, The Today Show, America's Got Talent, Boston Legal, and several other television shows and commercials. Her theater credits include Miss Saigon, Sound of Music, and A Christmas Carol. She also writes and sings with and for other artists from around the world. Most recently, she wrote a song titled, "Falling For You," performed by her brother, JayR, known as the "King of R&B," and YouTube superstar, Marie' Digby.
Her latest single, B.I.M.B.O., is just another artistic endeavor for Jhing. Inspired by the nursery rhyme Bingo, Jhing wanted to write a fun and hypnotic song based on true events in her life. Driven by pop beats, live instruments, horn work, and racy lyrics about a back stabbing ex-best friend, listeners around the world are chanting Jhing's hook, B I M B O, all the way to the bank.
