Songs About Sex & Depression

by Jill Freeman

Jill Freeman's songwriting is both dark and friendly. She speaks unabashedly, yet never loses a warmth that seems native to her spirit. Sensual, bohemian arrangements envelope songs shaded with blues, pop and jazz overtones.

Album Notes
"Jill Freeman's CD has been a long time coming, but well worth the wait for this intimate collection of songs from an artist who is both a distinctive songwriter and a gifted singer."
-Paul Zollo,
Sing Out! Magazine

"As Jane Siberry did in her early albums, Freeman combines raw emotional honesty with sparse arrangements and a delicate voice...Listeners who enjoy subtle, reflective music that doesn't bombard their senses and cram meaning down their throats are going to enjoy Jill Freeman's quiet, soft spoken music."
-Ron Hogan,
Skew Magazine

"Jill Freeman's music is soft and sensual, with a vulnerability and honesty that will immediately endear it to any listener...with dark and bohemian arrangements, Jill Freeman reveals to you her deepest fears and joys, her rawest feelings and desires."
-John Schoenberger,
The Album Network

JILL FREEMAN has been a professional singer/songwriter for over 20 years. Her solo album, "Songs about Sex and Depression", released originally on Magic Records, received rave reviews and resulted in placement of her songs in several motion pictures. One of these is a featured recording by EMI artists "Once Blue" of her song "Kisses Good" in Touchstone Pictures "Mister Wrong", starring Ellen Degeneres. Jill's songs and singing voice have also been heard on television on such shows as Roswell, the Young and the Restless, Providence, Melrose Place, Chelsea Lately, Better Off Ted among others. She enjoyed collaborating with blues guitar legend Robben Ford, for his release, "Keep on Running". Jill continues to write and perform with her husband, songwriter/producer Joel Wachbrit.
