For a Song

by Jim Muench & Butch Richardson

With one leg in California Rock, the other in Midwest and Southern Blues and a nod to Country, "For A Song" is just that! It is all about the "Song". It's heavy on harmony with generous amounts of guitar accompaniment and a bit of tongue in cheek humor.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jim Muench and Butch (Glenn) Richardson began playing music together along with Jim's brothers, Joe and Don Muench and later Butch's brother Danny Richardson as the Magna IV in 1967. That group recorded in Nashville starting many years in the studio. As the decade ended both Jim and Butch found themselves in the service.
Upon leaving the service, Jim began a career in music with brother's Joe, Don, and Steve (Louisville and later The Muench Brothers) which took them to California working with Dick Clark, The Osmonds and the BeeGees to name a few. That history is chronicled at muenchband.com.
As Butch was finishing his enlistment he started a family and business but always kept up with his love of writing and music.
Fast forward to the late nineties Jim found himself back in Louisville, reconnecting with Butch, starting a decade of writing and recording just for the love of it. At the behest of respected peers a CD was put together and is here for listening. It was done For A Song!
All the Best,
Jim Muench and Butch Richardson
