Jimmy Alleva hails from Queens, NY; home to many great recording artists- Tony Bennett and Vic Damone to name a few. Jimmy grew up in a very musical household along with his brothers Nicholas Jr. and Philip. As children, their parents, Nicholas Sr. and Roseann, would play records from the likes of such greats as Jimmy Roselli, Mario Lanza, and Sergio Franchi. Nicholas Jr. became a polular singer in the New York City area. Philip performed as a bass player in many of the top New York area bands.
The Giglio Feast, which has been a tradition in Brooklyn and East Harlem for over one hundred years is where Jimmy got his start as a singer. Jimmy began singing at the Giglio Feasts in 1996 and has continued entertaining Italian Americans throughout the Tri-State area. Jimmy now resides in New Jersey with his lovely wife, Dorothy. Dorothy continues to be a great inspiration and supporter of Jimmy\'s musical ambitions.
We know you will enjoy listening to these beautiful renditions of Italian music, both old and new, as much as Jimmy enjoyed recording them. Many traditions of the Italian American communities throughout this country have unfortunately disappeared. We believe \"Love & Romance\" will bring you back to a simpler time, when music was music; creating fond memories of the past as well as hope and love for the future.
