The Ragamuffin

by Jimmy Lee & the Edge of Chaos Orchestra

A beautiful collection of music by this composer, singer, songwriter, who has captured moments in a life full of joy, love and sorrow… his music moves easily from ballads to blues, folk to rock, haunting melodies and back again…….expect the unexpected,…. it's all here!

Rightly
demonstrating the exceptional talent
which is Jimmy Lee and the superb
band that surround him
This orchestra was formed in
2009 for the purpose of Sussexborn
Jimmy Lee having the
opportunity to play the type of
music he has always wanted to. The
seven-piece outfit provide fiddle,
banjo, accordion and guitar, the
combination of their talent and
Jimmy’s own self-penned material
will surely see Jimmy receiving
kudos beyond his wildest dreams.
Despite there being only nine
tracks, this record is a humdinger.
The prime example is Absolution,
with an energetic beat to it, it has
a country groove which wouldn’t
sound out of place at the Grand Ole
Opry. This is one damn fine song
and shows Jimmy’s creative genius
as other songs found on this album
are performed in a different style
altogether. The best tune which
follows this is The Christmas Waltz.
Building up well at the beginning,
this purely instrumental track shows
what fine musicians this orchestra
really are. It sure was a wise decision
for Jimmy to form this orchestra.
With the combination of his vocals,
writing talent with the picking,
strumming and general playing
ability of his members this record
marks the beginning of a beautiful
friendship.
