The education and training of children is the noblest deed that a person can offer to humanity. Parents and especially mothers are in a unique position to mold the lives of their children. When the children are young, they are like green and tender branches that will grow according to the way they are trained. The results of this first training will remain with them throughout their lives. Children need a nurturing environment and wise guidance in the first years of life to be able to develop to their fullest potential. It is our hope that this musical compilation of prayers and sacred writings will assist in helping parents and others to create a spiritually-uplifting environment for the development of their little ones during their early, tender years.

Julie Rosser Iraninejad:
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, raised in the United States and most recently from the People’s Republic of China, Julie Iraninejad can truly be called a world citizen. From an early age, she has had a great love of music and singing. She became a Baha’i at the age of eighteen and later made her first CD of Baha’i Writings set to music, entitled “Belovedâ€. She is also a Montessori teacher with a M.Ed in early childhood education. Inspired by her first pregnancy, she decided to set to music many of the Baha’i Writings and prayers for infants, thus this project was born. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Baha’i singer/songwriter Shabnam Cyrus has been involved with music her whole life, traveling throughout several countries and sharing her music with many people. She has sung and played the piano for several years, and recently became a board-certified music therapist. Shabnam strives to use music as a tool for the advancement of civilization, primarily through setting the Baha’i Writings to music. She was inspired by the birth of her nephew Kamal in early 2007 to create an album for babies and children. Shabnam hopes this CD inspires Kamal as well as other children and their parents around the world toward a life of service to humanity. Look for more albums from Shabnam in the near future!
