Album Notes
"Man With A Heart", the third CD from producer, multi-instrumentalist, and president of Da'Soul Recordings, "J", is a CD that poses one question: what's wrong with men and women in their relationships? From the bounce and wiggle of "All Tease, But No Please", to the sexy instrumental, "Thrill Of The Chill","J" explores a number of issues such as why good women don't seem to want good men("Man With A Heart"),devotion("In My Thoughts And Deeds"),the promise of new love("Maybe Sometime"), and when a relationship needs a little spicing up("Goin' Thru The Motions"). This CD is not for people who don't have a sense of love and all of its problems and heartaches, but rather an exercise for those who have experienced all of the joy and pain it brings, and "J" brings the tunes across with such fervor and conviction, that it makes the listener really feel what's going on. This CD makes you think, cry, wonder, and ask all the same questions that have been asked in these songs: it's an essential piece of music.

Grown Folks Music... Soulful & Funky!
From the opening track "All Tease, but No Please" to the stark reality of "Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin"; "J" AKA "Gift" takes us on an emotional journey deep within his heart and conveys a universal message that everybody can identify with. The music is funky and toe tapper friendly... The songs are sung with passion and tell stories that reach into the innermost thoughts of the artist. If you listen closely, you'll find that he may just be telling one of your stories as well! Stand out tracks for me are "Man With A Heart," "Goin' Thru the Motions," "Love the Siner, Hate the Sin," and "All Tease, but No Please." Continued success my brotha... your other Little brother... Wordz.
