Self guided relaxation may sometimes be difficult because we often become easily distracted and sidetracked. Guided relaxation can be a wonderful solution because your relaxation experience is led by a guide. Allow Joanne D'amico's gentle guidance and calming voice help you remain focused on easing tension from your body and quieting your mind.

Description of the relaxation techniques featured in this CD Album:

Calming Breath: This exercise begins with simply observing the flow of the breath. It then gently moves into slow deeper breathing. The deep breathing is very gentle and very calming. This exercise is accompanied by a lovely piece of music composed by Kevin Macleod which enhances this relaxation technique.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation: This is a muscle relaxation exercise that involves gently tensing and releasing the various muscles of the body in a sequential way. Research shows that physical relaxation is always accompanied by mental calmness. This is a wonderful relaxation technique that allows you to enter a very deep state of relaxation.

Guided Imagery: Guided imagery works on the premise that the body and mind are connected. When the imagination is guided through suggestions towards a relaxed state, the body and mind respond as though what you are imagining is real. This can help shift a stressed mood to one of peace and calm. This particular exercise will guide you through a beautiful secluded forest. The recording is also accompanied by forest sounds and soothing music composed by Kevin Macleod that will help enhance your imagination and relaxation experience.

Meditation: The exercise featured on this album is a meditation on gratitude. Feeling grateful on a regular basis can help cultivate feelings of happiness and appreciation. Despite any challenges you may be experiencing, taking time to notice what you are grateful for can help foster a positive outlook. The music accompaniment in this CD is truly inspirational. My 10 year old daughter asks each night "did you bring Joanne upstairs?" A Wonderful Product, A Gift For The Soul
This wonderful relaxation tape truly is a gift for the soul. The gentle guided relaxation and meditation is just what I needed, it is helping my health and my spirits. The music is lovely and Joanne's soothing voice gets you into a deep trance like place without all the mind chatter I use to get when I tried to meditate on my own.
