ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jocelyn Robert has been writing for the Disklavier Piano since 1992. His first published work was "Le PIano Flou", a double-cd set, based on the principle of inaccuracies and singularities as qualities in music. This publication led to several concert appearances, notably at the Glenn Gould Conference in Toronto, at the New Media Festival in Vancouver, and at Wesleyan University. There were a number of other cds from Robert since then, either in solo or in collaboration with such artists as Laetitia Sonami, Louis Ouellet or Eric Gagnon, but "Mobile" is only his second Disklavier solo project to be published. The whole project started from reflexions on the hard to define dual concept of Mobility/Immobility, and its possible consequences on music composition. And yes, you guessed right : there is another project to be published very soon called "Immobile", which we should hear from in Winter 2012...
