ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album is a sampler of a live greatest hits recording, and is quite unusual in this regard. The band has a stripped down , straight ahead Rock, Punk sound, and fans will enjoy hearing their favorite songs in this new setting, with less studio gimmicks. Still what's striking is the unaccopanied renditons of the Cole Porter standard "You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To" and, the U.S. National Anthem, "The STar Spangled Banner". The band is a duo, rather than a trio. John Carey is the guitarist and Melissa Houston plays the drums. As mentioned above, it is a stripped down Rock sound and gives a more Punk drive to clasic Cahill songs such as "I'm Blue". Jazz and classical overtones are revealed in the two special cover songs mentioned above. The nine song album rings true to its title: "Rock & Recital.
