ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
On Saturday mornings as a child he would sit on on the front porch and listen to his grandfather Clamont “King” Ned play one-steps, basbaisse and waltzes on his accordion. The tightly woven tapestry of Joe Hall’s history is as fascinating as his dynamic accordion playing on stage. While younger musicians are intent on combining zydeco with hip hop or pop culture, Joe Hall goes back to the roots of zydeco and the musical traditions of his Creole heritage.
