Album Notes
On this debut CD release "Back In The Day", Joe Mackee writes and performs the title track along with an excellent mix of tunes, including these originals: Whatever and "Big Fat Stogie" and co-writes "I Can't Say Goodbye" by Greg Shirley. Never forgetting where he comes from, Joe includes a tribute to Hawaii's own late-great, Mackey Feary and Kalapana with the songs "Catherine" and "Moon And Stars." He completes his debut album by bringing together Jazz and standards with Moodys Mood for Love - James Moody, "My Funny Valentine" , "Nature Boy", "Lady Is A Tramp (Live at The Blue Dragon)" and 'Almost Like Being In Love" (Live at The Blue Dragon with The Olliephonic Horns ).
