Album Notes
Wow - what a long time since I went into a studio - and the result is this album here ...
It's been 10 years ... and a whole lot of changes, personal and music wise both! Highs and lows ... Good times and bad times ... Changes and losses and I'm thankful and humbled by it all ...
First and foremost, I want to thank God for pulling me through and leading the way ... I'm riding shotgun now and He's holding the reins ... There's so many people and friends to thank but most of all my family for standing behind me and beside me. It hasn't been easy on ya'll but thank you. To my boys, I hope you always know how much I love you and how proud of you I am.
To my band [brothers], you guys work so hard and have made just as many sacrifices as myself and I'm proud to have you guys in my band, family, and life. Thanks to the families of the band members for all your support and for letting these guys make music with me. I have so many friends [fans] that I'm blessed with and if not for all of you, there would be no music for me. Joe Olds Band fans are the best fans in the world!!!
To the Sweats, thanks for believing in me and becoming a family to me. To the Schonyers for always giving us a home away from home - Swainsboro, Wrightsville, Augusta - you have all been so good to us. Thank you!! I know I can’t put everyone on here because there are so many of you to thank - so just know you all have made me who I am, and I am very blessed for you all!!! Deadwood Guitars, After Oz Productions, all the talented writers on this album: Steve Baxley, Geoff Jacobs, Chuck Jolley, Heath Claxton and Ivan Duke … to Kenneth Sweat, Steve Allison, Sonny Fleming, Bret Short, Jeff Marcus, Shane Pressley, Jason Whitworth, and all the talented friends and musicians who have and still do work for me. Steve Baxley.... you gave me a friendship that will never die and you were and always will be one of the best... I miss you every day, big brother - I hope I did you proud on this album...
Thank you all and God bless you all -- now enjoy the CD!!! Joe
