ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I recorded Heading For The Sun at Thunder Pumpkin Recording with a great sound engineer, musician and friend John Sonntag, who loves to record and has a great feel for music. He has helped turned my musical ideas into high quality recorded songs. I classify my music as Adult Contemporary Alternative rock, ska and soul with funky jams thrown into the mix. The songs on the CD reflect the realities of life without being too deep. You'll find well constructed songs with good musical support and lyrics that provide a message without being to preachy. Here is what others have said about my music:

Diana Williamson's Comments on Policeman:
Artist wins over his audience with a catchy hook and light hearted feel bound to get the dance floor hopping. Light hearted songs with comedic twists can be refreshing to hear in this angst radio driven world. You can take on a lot of topics that a straight forward song can't. The overly serious "save the world" type songs can get dreary, but with sarcasm you can make a serious topic "palatable".

Diana Williamson is head consultant in charge of licensing and acquisition for Themusiclibrary.org a boutique publishing company that places music in film, tv and with recording artists. They have everything from Grammy winning writers to fresh indie talent from around the world.

Joe Vitale Comments on Destiny
John P. Flynn's song "Destiny" is a great piece of work !! A song that challenges your thoughts of what mysteries lie ahead in all of our complicated lives. After hearing it just once, I had to listen again and again!!....GREAT job John...BRAVO !!!

Joe Vitale Comments on Billy's Bomb
John P. Flynn's song "Billy's Bomb" is a profound musical statement. It's a modern day look at some of the building fears that we all face in our day to day lives. John really points out key issues that we should all be aware of. GREAT job John !!

Joe Vitale is an American musician primarily known as a drummer but also a flautist, keyboardist and singer. He has played with many of the top names in music during a career dating back to the 1970s such as Joe Walsh, the Eagles and others.
