Recording of the musical THE BULLY, presented by Vital Theater Company, New York, NY
“… hilarious, witty and even moving. ‘The Bully,’ like the best kind of teacher, nudges children toward the truth and then lets them discover it on their own.”
– Laurel Graeber, “Family Fare,” The New York Times
"Kept to a kid-perfect 60 minutes, the production's pacing and tone will appeal equally to younger kids, who will eat up the catchy music and humor, and their older counterparts, who are bound to connect to their fictional peers' plights with a compassion bred from experience. Once again, Vital triumphs with a production that speaks to kids on their own terms about a subject that really truly matters. "
-Lee Magill, Time Out New York Kids
"This story gave us a little look into what makes a person like that tick, and I think it helped to make all the characters a little more human. Something any bully could certainly aspire to."
-Erin Leigh Peck, BroadwayWorld.com Jr.
When a bus mix-up strands Lenny, the nerd, and Steve, the bully, at the wrong school, they both get picked on for being "the new kids." The boys have to work together to get back to their school and begin to learn that they might not be so different after all.
