ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This Little Child is a solo piano album of Christmas compositions and arrangements.
Each song was chosen to center around the theme of Christmas: Jesus Christ as an
infant child. Some of the pieces are arrangements of traditional Christmas carols. These
include Silent Night, Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming, It Came Upon A Midnight Clear, God
Rest Ye Merry, Gentleman, and Joy To The World. Additional arrangements are
combinations of carols. Hark, The Herald Angels Sing, Angels From The Realms Of Glory,
and Angels We Have Heard On High form the medley in Heavenly Angels. Emmanuel
Comes combines the carols, What Child Is This and O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. The
other works are my own original compositions. December Morning opens the album
with a Christmas tingle and a winter feeling of snowflakes falling. As the name implies,
Christmas Is Coming is an upbeat, anticipation of the arrival of Christmas Day. The title
track, This Little Child was composed to capture the theme of this album. Sober and
contemplative in nature, This Little Child focuses on Christ's ultimate reason to enter
the world -- His crucifixion, as He sets His eyes towards the cross, and His triumphal
resurrection from the dead.
