ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
John Malcolm and Mark Newman had been performing these songs live for over a year, and these studio recordings were mostly laid down in one take, the musicians playing together in the same room. Two tracks have some minor overdubbing of harmonies and conga, the rest are without overdubbing. John wrote all the songs and played hot guitar and sang; Mark played flute in a style which takes Ian Anderson's (Jethro Tull) techniques to another level. Mark also plays harmonica and bongos. The original recordings were on 2 inch tape.

The bonus track "Naked" is a home recording of a very poetic folky song, with bass guitar played by Cat Dunham.
