ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This debut recording features pianist John Nazarenko, with bassist Reuben Rogers and drummer Eric Harland. The recording highlights the band playing standards and a couple classic rock tunes (Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd). The band was recorded in May 2006 at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY, and mixed at The Creek Studio. (www.thecreekstudio.com). Mastering by Emily Lazar at The Lodge, NYC.
John Nazarenko is a Senior Artist-in-Residence in the Skidmore College Music Department. He performs as a soloist, with his trio, with Colleen Pratt and Friends, and with jazz guitarist Chuck D'Aloia. He has published three books on jazz piano, improvisation, and arranging for small combos.
