ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I was born Darren Quent Roth March 5th 1973 in McAlester OK. I was born into a family of musicians; both parents played instruments and sang. I'm the only rock musician in my family so growing up I caught a lot of flack so I'd hide my songs and music from my family but no regrets. I started playing country guitar and drums at 10 yrs old. I was a preteen when the big hair 80's arrived and my parents hated it. The 1st metal album I owned was Quiet Riot's "Metal Health". The first metal album I ever heard was Black Sabbath's "We Sold Our Soul For Rock n Roll" When I was 9 at a neighbor's house. The first time I heard Motely Crue I was sold completely on rock n roll. That's when I really decided I wanted to be a rock star. My father hated "today's rock"; he called it back then and he introduced me to Chuck Berry and Little Richard. As a kid I wanted to be something like both Little Richard and Bob Seger so my dad would someday like my rock music but he died before ever hearing it and my producer is the only one who's ever throne a fit over me and told me how talented I am! So..... well that's me johnny cryboy in a nut shell.
