The Long Road

by Johnny Kallas

Americana with a country flavor. Kallas is an accomplished storyteller; his writing is reminiscent of Harry Chapin and Bob Dylan. His country/folk style will captivate you with his very moving tunes and spellbinding stories.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I first met Johnny Kallas around five years ago when he joined the Emerald Valley Opry Band as the drummer. When it was Johnny’s turn to perform, it soon became apparent that he had another great talent…song writing, which is inspired by a turbulent and varied life. These songs will be sure to strike a chord somewhere, somehow, with anyone listening,

I think you will agree that Johnny Kallas is a fantastic performer, and a writer of songs that will fast become a part of the American music scene.

The Long Road
I didn't purchase this from CD Baby, but from Amazon. I just had to stop and say that this is the most amazing CD and music I have ever heard. The lyrics, and music are completely unique, and I am sure Johnny Kallas is just as unique. It would be such a gift to see him in concert, and I for one hope that he keeps sharing his music with others, and takes his stories to everyone who has a heart. I am sure there is no one on this planet that hasn't been in similar situations, and can completely relate to this man. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you soon, with more music and material, that will keep our hearts humble, and our lives in check. Thank you, Johnny Kallas. This is a wonderful CD.

The Long Road
I think this is one of the greatest albums I've heard. Mr. Kallas takes us through all the hardships of overcoming additions, and everyday life challenges. I first heard Johnny at the Emerald Valley Opry in Eugene Oregon, and was blown away with his talent. This is a must album for anyone that has struggled with lifes problems and overcame them. A fun album .

The Long Road Johnny Kallas
This album is great. It makes you laugh and cry and feel the feelings of the artist. I would recommend this to anyone who likes songs that tell a story. I had a copy of his 40 miles to Barstow album released many years ago. I'm so glad I found him again and his new album is so refreshing and alive.

Treavelin' the Long Road
New, yet so familiar. Bringin' me home to the Byrds, resonating Graham Parsons, tinctured with a wee bit of John Prine and Neil Young. A Sage, a Guitar man and a voice, Mr. Kallas weaves a delightful, and yet sometimes sorrowful, journey down "The Long Road", touching our hearts at every bend in the road.
Destined to become "one of Americas' favorite heroes" and certainly "a favorite friend of mine", this compilation will always be a favored choice.
Hats off to you, Mr. Kallas.
