ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sticking close to live recordings and beautifully wrought material, a listen to the Johnny Starlings is an engaging traipse across the genres of old-timey jazz, americana and folk. In the year since the band's debut album, The Johnny Starlings have continued to attract a diverse and appreciative listening audience while wowing crowds with their live performances.

This winter the Johnny Starlings release a new EP, highlighting some live recordings from the past year and showcasing some new studio recordings. Joined by old friends, Darryl Voss on percussion, Ron McCarley on horns and the always impressive Inga Swearingen, who lends her voice to a live cut of one of the Starlings' most stirring selections, “’Til my Peace be Made,” the Johnny Starlings once again demonstrate an ability to communicate a genuine love for music.
