Great CD! the music is interesting, the sound is good, the bass playing like crazy!

Just Grace !!!
John Peña is really a complete and amazing musician. He is for me, simply a master of Bass. I had the luck to see & hear him playing on stage with David Garfield & the Cats, don't miss him if he comes in your neighborhood.
This smooth jazz CD is influenced by afro/cuban music but not only. The marvellous "Call it grace", sang by Sharon Perry, reminds me of the most classical jazz vocal "chefs d'oeuvre" like Ella Fitzgerald's songs. John's music adopts a very various technical style (fretless bass, slap...) but stay first of all of a very easy & pleasant listening for no initiating. There is also an inspiration indeed of Jaco Pastorius & Stanley Clarke. Please oder this CD right now, it is just Grace ! God bless you all, Olivier
