ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Southern's Music is an innovative blend of Country Folk and Rock music with some classical overtones
thrown into the mix for lack of catagory this is called Americana. Each song is like a child with the same Father but a
different Mother, as Southern borrows inspiration from all music forms. Each song is however typically Southern,as
each is it's own little musical Character under the nurturing of the same imagination.
The cover of the Album includes a photograph of the "John Hooley" an instrument designed and built by Southern
and his next door Neighbor Hooley Benge in 1972 73 and 74. It is the only instrument of this type and is wired in Stereo and tuned with 16 strings in unison. The back cover inside is a Painting designed and painted by Southern called
" Las Animales" it was designed and hand painted over a 3 year period as well.
All songs were written and recorded by Southern in his Home studio on on a Teac 80-8 one of the first home available 8 channel Recorders sold. These songs were also written and recorded over a 4 year period.
