Joie A Gogo means "Joy Abundantly." Joie A Gogo has been singing since 2 years of age. Her mother and late grandmother played a big part in the development of her sound.
During Joie A Gogo's childhood, she traveled throughout the U.S.A with her family. Learning different cultures and hearing different styles of song. However, during the family road trips to a new place of residence, she was consumed with the sounds of Jazz and Gospel. Her parents favorite style of music.
"I can remember taking these 9 day road trips from one side of the country to the other and When we are young we may listen to the cassette tapes of Kenny G, Anita Baker, Mississippi Mass Choir and other Jazz/ Gospel artists. We would listen to the tapes until they warped. I remember asking my parents 'This SONG AGAIN.' I did not have great appreciation for such legends. I do now I get it mom and dad!"~ Joie A Gogo
Joie A Gogo sound is a collaboration of Gospel, R&B, Jazz and Neo Soul. She has sang with many Grammy Award Winning artists and other great artist throughout Little Rock, AR; Dallas, TX; and Detroit, MI area. Some people compare her sound to Jill Scott, Ledisi, and a little Angie Stone.
