jojo villaruel started singing in mid 70\'s at my fathers moustache folk house in manila philippines followed by bodega folk house and hobbit house in ermita manila. In 1982 jojo formed the group sugar country band raging from blue grass, folk and country music, and played around manila.. In 1986 they performed in Singapore, 1987 in petaling jaya malaysia. 1989 in japan, 1990 in ice land. He came to america 1991 in chicago and still sings in some filipino restaurants and american bars around chicago. jojo wrote the tagalog songs in the mid 90\'s and still compsing up to now.
